SINOPSIS
Trumbo (Milland), desertor del ejército, es el guía de un grupo de colonos, entre los que están Lily (Stanwyck) y Michael Fabian (Fitzgerald), que se dirigen a California, empujados por la aventura en el Oeste y por el oro de California. Cuando Trumbo llega, se encuentra con una ciudad sin orden donde el malvado capitán Coffin (Couloris) impone su ley despóticamente. Trumbo deberá desbaratar el intento de Coffin de sublevar California.
